Well, it will certainly appeal to the die-hard minimalists although I’m not too crazy for the idea. Murphy’s Law will have a hay-day with an exposed trigger and that snaggletooth hook.

It's not a holster; a holster is something a gun fits into.

It's simply a device that let you clip a gun to a belt. I tried one many years ago when the first came out - threw it in the junk box after one trip outside.

I would never use one on anything bigger than an LCP, and then only if I couldn't use a pocket holster for some reason. It simply doesn't hold a gun securely, and security is everything in concealed carry. Think Plexico Burress.

I have something very similar that I bought when I first started to carry. I never used it. It made me extremely apprehensive to remove my EDC from my belt. I would concentrate on getting a good holster if I were you.

Not my idea of safety...I like the idea of the trigger inside a holster, but that's just me.

It does look interesting although I would not use it. I prefer to have the trigger covered all the same.

I'm going to go against the grain here. I was initially apprehensive and started my CCW life with a good holster. I was pretty happy with it, but found myself periodically not carrying or carrying my keltec instead of my XD because of the time it takes to holster up. My buddy tried the clip draw and loved it...I bought one and it has all but replaced my holster. It does hold my XD pretty securely, so long as I use the same belt that I would for holster carry. The chief advantage is that I can grab a real gun and go in seconds. As for the trigger guard...well, if I were sticking it in my pocket or something I might be concerned, and I do pay a bit of attn when I'm tucking it in place so nothing gets snagged but I really don't see an issue once it's in place. That tape really does hold well if you properly clean the surface of the gun first. It comes with directions and I think an alcohol prep for just that.

Overall, I say holster = better, but clipdraw means I have a real gun on me more of the time.

I don't have a problem with the concept when used with DAO pistols and revolvers. I regularly carry my P-3AT with the belt clip. However, I just don't trust the tape.
