The SKR and the SMZ are two different models.
I believe the SKR allows for a straight forward draw and the SMZ requires a twist of the wrist.
This is a discussion on Shoulder Holster for a S&W 640-1 within the Defensive Carry Holsters & Carry Options forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; Who makes an upsidedown shoulder holster for a hammerless 64-1 revolver?...
Who makes an upsidedown shoulder holster for a hammerless 64-1 revolver?
I have the SMZ and I don't like it. I wasn't paying attention very well when I ordered it. Now, I usually like Ken's products but the SMZ presents an exposed trigger. Granted, it's on the inside closest to my chest but its still not good. If you bend over to pick something up, it could possibly snag on something and go cannon. The SKR is described as having a covered trigger so that may be an option that fits your needs. If you call, Ken is usually the one who answers and he is very friendly. Again, I have purchased a lot of stuff from him, and his build quality is very good.
I plan on trying the Galco Executive next time around although its a more conventional butt down angle.

That's exactly who I was going to suggest too. Top notch stuff.
