I find my XD9sc to be a little too heavy for extended ankle carry. The snubby, however, can be relatively comfortable on the ankle.

I tried an expensive ankle holster with a nice padded calve strap and the whole nine yards. It still slid down and I was constantly adjusting it. Also, I found it very unnatural to sit casually without crossing my legs. I felt like a cadet at a military academy (yes, I should know). Anyway, before you spend the money, try going a full day without crossing your legs and see if that doesn’t drive you absolutely mad.

I personally think that it is a bit too big for an ankle rig.

I can Galco ankle carry a Taurus 605 snubbie comfortably all day. But I really don't think I would like much more, if that helps.
I'd say the XD9sc is too big for easy ankle carry -- based on my own experience with the comparably-sized Glock 26 in a Galco Ankle Glove. The Galco Ankle Glove is one of the most comfy ankle rigs out there, but easily concealed it was not.

You can if YOU want to. I carried a Glock 27 on my ankle as a backup. It's about as big as I think doable. But have known a few folks who carried glock 19s on thier ankles.
Thanks for the answers I will get the Galco ankle for the snubby that sounds good. I have a PM 9 it might work. I cant carry on the waist for the time being , so pocket or ankle
I carried the XD9c in an ankle holster but found after a while it just got to heavy. I switched to my G27 which is about 4oz lighter and it was more comfortable. The most comfortable was the S&W637 snubbie, it was a pleasure. I have to agree the Galco Ankle Glove is excellent .
The PM9 should give you no problems either with weight or concealment on an ankle rig. You do have to be scrupulous -- I mean, really scrupulous -- about cleaning the gun very regularly even when it hasn't been shot. Something about ankle carry does seem to pick up more gunk.
