    Kydex Fans/Users....help selecting a holster

First off I have to say I'm a leather fan and don't own a kydex holster and this isn't a purchase I'm looking to make, just trying to help a friend find a good plastic holster .

What we're looking for is a kydex IWB holster that can be worn strong side OR cross-draw...make suggestions please.

    Thanks

My kydex experience has been with the C Tac, which I love and use it to carry my EDC.

I have an MTAC and Infidel (for those grab the gun and stick in the pants quick times) from comp-tac, and a Scorpion from Desantis. Like them all.

I think Tucker Gun Leather's Silent Thunder fits the bill. It's a kydex shell lined with leather. Their updated model has an adjustable clip. So you set your own cant on it and it can be used crossdraw. It's not in the same price range as an off the shelf kydex holster, like an Uncle Mike's. It runs $85 IIRC, opposed to the $25-35 for the lower end mass produced kydex.

I have a blade-tech IWB. I like it pretty well, it holds really close to your body but doesn't bite. Adjustable cant as well as belt width too!

+1 on Blade Tech, esp. the Nano.

I think the nano's are a better holster averall than the regular bladetechs. They are thinner, and have wider spacings on their belt loops, more cant too from the examples I have for XD's.

I agree, if you like leather, but need kydex, why not get leather lined kydex?
    Look at Tucker Gun Leather

I've ended the leather vs kydex debate by buying hybrid holsters. Namely the Comp-Tac MTAC and have my eye on the Crossbreed Supertuck. I have been a proponent of leather and kydex at one time or another and the truth is if you're set on one or the other, you're just missing out on a lot of good holsters.

Also, trying to find one holster to be great for strong side and crossdraw sounds like a good way to find a holster that doesn't do either really well. Jack of all trades is a master of none and all that.

Just a little food for thought.
