For a pocket holster, I think synthetic materials, in designs, like the superfly or Mika pocket holster are superior to leather, because they stick to the pocket better on the draw... I have both leather and synthetic and prefer synthetic...

For IWB, I prefer all leather holsters. Synthetic and kydex holsters to me are uncomfortable against the skin...The supertuck is a hybrid holster and I think these are as good as all leather holsters. I just prefer the feel of leather against my skin, to kydex or synthetic materials...

I like synthetic for pocket carry, and leather for all other purposes.

Leather for OWB. Leather or leather/kydex for IWB. Cheapo synthetic for not wearing finish on safe queens and storeage.
