I had a yaqui holster from DeSantis for my G27. I gave it away. It didn't conceal well and was a little unstable on the belt.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

I was looking at them but then alot of people said that If you sit and something such as an arm of a chair hits the muzzle then the gun can be pushed up and out.
It looks like a very good possibilty.

I like the way full coverage holsters look anyway.

    Yaqui type holsters
I don't like them, There's no protection for the gun.

I insist on my muzzle and front sight being protected. No slides for me.

I guess that they would be fine for the range, but not for carry...I do not like the front sight nor the slide exposed. When sitting down the slide could tap a chair. When reaching up high, I'd rather that the holster be seen and not the barrel of the firearm.OMO

Well, I'm going to be the differing opinion, I see.

I like them. In fact - for me - the less holster, the better. I'm aware of the danger of the gun being pushed out by the muzzle, and I know it's exposed to bumps and dirt. However, my only method of carry is an OWB under a loose, untucked sport shirt, so there's some protection there. I still like them. I have 3 or 4, made by various companies, and one's as good as another. Some have adjustment screws, some don't. A good, stiff belt is necessary because there isn't any extra leather to hold the holster tight against the body. I checked the website and those look good.

Thanks for the replies. That's what I'm looking for both pros and cons. I have a belt slide for my LCP and it covers the slide and sight of the small LCP nicely. I currently have a IWB for the Kahr but I would rather go with an OWB.

    Any more comments or suggestions?

A detective I know wear's one and her glock looks beat to crap plus the grip leans away from her body, and it clanks when she sits. I pay for my pistols... no thank you.

It is highly possible that sometime and somewhere you'll sit down and pop your firearm up and right out of that holster.

The Yaqui slide is not a very stable or protective holster design. There are many better choices in holsters out there.

Ok, nine negatives out of ten replies tells me I need to look for something else. The Mitch Rosen 5JR Express or something close to it maybe. Unlike the Kahr PM9 there are not as many options for the P9.

Randy, I like the looks of your belt slide but again your gun list only shows a PM9. Thanks for the link.

My thanks to everybody that replied. Great forum.

If you want something that is minimal perhaps try the Galco M7X Matrix holster. I use that one often with my Para Ordnance Warthog.
