Twelve months to wait for a holster?
I bought this...it works very well, and I had it in 5 weeks!

If you want something to hold you over until the wait is over MidwayUSA.com has the Bianchi Proffesiomal 100 for $44. This is not a holster designed for cross draw. It is a IWB clip on holster. I have been using one for quite some time as a cross draw holster for diriving with a Colt Gov 380. I just ordered another for my Mod 60. It is not a great holster. I like the fact that it is a very small holster, which makes it a little easier to slip into the glove box if needed. It is very easy to put on and remove. For me it gets the job done so I orded one for another gun. The only time I use this holster as a primary care is if I know I will be going into a "gun free" zone. Then I carry at 3:00. The rest of the time it does back up duty in the cross draw position.
Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around laws. Plato

You didn't really specify which gun you're using? Colt compact can mean quite a few guns. Cross draw is a VERY hard way to conceal anything bigger than mouse guns for the average person.
My point being, I'd recommend trying something before doling out the bucks.
