My MaxCon V arrived in the mail, last night, along with a belt and mag pouch to match. My P226ST is sitting in it, now, wrapped in wax paper. My wife was amazed. She watched me put the holster on and watched it disappear. Looking straight at it, she couldn't see any evidence of it, except what was above the waistband. Perfect. Pics will follow.

I ordered one of the Service Grade holsters for my new Glock 22 so it should be here in a couple of weeks. Need to make sure I have some wax paper in the house.

great holster holster I got mine last week and its awsome gary you are the man. This thing carrys and conceals my colt 1911 effortlessly under just a large tshirt or polo shirt very nicely done. its obvious that alot of thought went into the design of this rig,i also like the rear loop being a bit larger than the front to alow the gun to be rocked foward for easier drawing when seated. This is the last IWB rig I'll ever need for my 1911's now all I need is that commander I been wanting,oh and a maxcon v to go with it to

I am amazed at how thoroughly my 226 disappears! Even with Hogue grips, the way it (so comfortably) tucks in, it doesn't grab my shirt. I expected that for a slim 1911, but I was dubious that it would conceal that well a 226.

I love my Max-Con Vs. I've had a number of holsters that ended up in the dreaded "box" but GB's gear isn't ever headed that way - Hell, it keeps multiplying!

i have got to admit, my MC V with my kimber ultra carry, gets 98% of my attention these days. the rig including belt, is making alot of other holsters and guns safe queens. only my smartcarry and 642 see action when I am in sweats or running pants.

OK guys so has anyone here worn both the Maxcon and the ctac? And if so what are the results? Which one conceals better? Let me know if you have worn both. The only thing about the ctac that bothers me is sometimes riding in the car the kydex hurts a bit.

I have used both the Max Con V and a C-T.A.C slide, among numerous other hoslters, both leather and kydex. Sold the C-T.A.C. The Max Con V is much more comfortable. As far as concealability, I don't think there is a big difference. And for speed of draw, a good kydex wins easily. But that is meaningless if the holster is too uncomfortable to wear.The big advantage of the C-T.A.C. is the ability to change the rake angle and ride height. It's versatile. But for me, it was too much hassle to put on. And, although I keep and occationally use other kydex holsters, there is no way a hard kydex riding against your hip is going to be as comfortable as a well designed leather holster. Right now my Max Con V is my most often worn IWB holster, and I have another one on order.Originally Posted by Rugerman

My only real experience with kydex was a Ky-Tac Braveheart IWB for a SA UC. It functioned okay but I much prefer leather for my guns.
