Crossbreed & magazine release button (M&P)

Well, I'm new to the Crossbreed Supertuck. Have been carrying a Walther PPS in a Comp-TAC Minotaur Spartan for 6 months, and decided to try carrying a full sized M&P. Went with the Crossbreed, thinking the larger sized holster would better support the heavier pistol.

Comfort is very good (I'm 5'11" and 180#), and retention is much better than the Spartan.

BUT... I've got the mag release button problem.

Have tried twice to wet the leather & form a pocket/relief for the mag release button, no joy. I've emailed Crossbreed to kick the issue over to them.

I've read about this issue in the forum archives, and it's been a known problem for some % of users for a year or more. I'm frankly a little surprised that they don't make any accommodation for the mag release button in the leather, at least for models like the M&P that don't design protection for the button into the frame.

30 seconds with a sharp X-acto knife will solve that problem.

If you're referring to my post, just cut a hole in the leather where the mag release touches it.

Yep, I wasn't sure if you meant to cut a hole, or do a full 'combat cut' to remove all leather in the vicinity of the button.

    Thanks

I'm in the same boat, no issues. But I am thinking of cutting a little leather away......like their "combat cut" that Crossbreed offers.

    my modification

check out my pictures of this simple mod from an earlier post. I don't like the "hole" idea because I worry there may be a snag. Since I had this done, I have yet to have a single problem with the mag.

I cut a hole in mine and beveled the edges.Works fine,no snags but its not too pretty. But it,s an ugly holster anyway and is always out of sight.
