I don't use a holster for a 1911. I just stick it in my pants, cocked and locked, over my right hip. The grip keeps it from slipping down, and I've never had it slip upward. I've carried that way for years and found it secure. While hiking or running, it stays put.

To anybody named Bruce Wayne, I would advise against doing this, because I know of your incredible urge to sleep upside down.

I use a Crossbreed Supertuck for my 4" Kimber. Printing is a bigger concern in dress clothes, so I tend to wear a sweater vest or sport jacket if I think I need it. I'm upgrading my holster and carry piece to a Milt Sparks VM2 and a Wilson Combat Professional, I hate to think of that beautiful finish getting worn away by the Kydex on the Supertuck.

Dan Wesson CBOB in a CUDA by Simply Rugged with matching mag carrier. This CUDA can be worn either IWB or OWB. In the pic it is set up for IWB carry. Recommend this combo highly!

Thanks for all this info folks. I'm researching IWB now and this thread has been very helpful.
