Looking to order my first belt from them. I'm looking at the 1.25" because most of my wear is dress pants, will this be enough to carry a PM9 or Glock 26 or will I regret not getting the 1.5". thanks for any input.
Stick with the 1.25" and if you are really concerned, they can add an internal stiffener that will help distrubute the weight. Honestly though, I don't think you will have any trouble as is.
No one seemed to touch on this. I've only seen one pair of pants that wouldn't support a 1.5 inch. They were some weird, overpriced, Italian import dress pants.
Anything you buy here, pretty much, will fit a 1.5 inch belt. It's what I wear. It's all I wear.
A big +1. I only own 1.5" belts. They fit all my dress pants. At worst, I have a couple pairs of pants where the loops are a tight fit for double-width, but the belts still go on nonetheless.
I use their 1.25" standard bullhide to carry my G26 in an Mtac or Brommeland MaxCon daily. They have held up far better than some other belts I paid more for from other popular makers.
I have another brand 1.5" belt only 1/8" thick and I do have some dress pants it will not fit, I also have yet another brand in a 1.25 I wear on those occasions. Check your loops!
A&G has the best customer service anyone could ask for. And their belts are as good if not better than Beltman. Not a slam on Beltman, I own one and like it very much. Just that the A&G is just as well made as a Beltman and the customer service was awseome.
I purchased a black 1 1/2 horsehide from Al at A&G and it is everything you would want a great gunbelt to be.
A couple of days ago I ordered another in light brown. He called me immediately and told me that he would make it, but that because of the horsehide he was receiving these days there would be too many imperfections showing with the light dye. We agreed on a darker brown. Great personal customer service.
I believe Beltman also offers a tapered option on thier belts which brings a 1.5" belt down to 1.25" just in the front so that if worn with a suit, it apprears from the front to be 1.25", but is still 1.5" all the rest of the way around. Just a thought, don't personally have one, so I don't know how well they work.
I got a call from Jim today saying my black 1.5" bullhide with the black buckle is shipping today. I ordered it on 02-01-10.
