    It would be a huge mistake...possibly a fatal one...to assume frangible pistol ammunition "absolutely, positively" won't kill someone. It will kill somebody just as dead as JHP or FMJ under the right circumstances.

    One accident in 33 years?....Still a pretty good track record with the volume of students they have going through there....better than NTC, Nellis, or Quantico...

    Yep. Sadly we lose people at NTC, JRTC, more frequently than you'd think. The rotation before my first JRTC rotation, the unit parked a tank on top of two Soldiers.

    ...but on this topic, if you go to the website, you can see the catwalks in a few of the pics. There is no reason a shooter should have been aiming that way. Without knowing more, seems like it's more an issue of the shooter needing more training before live fire, than a range design issue.
