    What is Your Excuse Today?

For those that are serious about concealed carry, developing SA, developing MINDSET, developing SKILLS, improving KNOWLEDGE...what is your excuse today for not proceeding, for not training, for not learning how to GetOffTheX?

Watch this video and tell me all about your excuses...and when you do I shall laugh, because if this Dad can do this, then all of us can do something to help ourselves and our families become safer through our efforts...JMO

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Thank you so much for this video. It's all too easy to forget the great things that our father's have done for us. *edit: I cried as well and I'm not ashamed to say it in the least. Very moving video that I forwarded to my step-dad who is the best thing that ever happened to my mom and I.*

As for the rest of it, I was busy working kubotan drills with my new Snody Custom Predatory Nematode aka Angola EDT for quite a while today after I pulled it from the mailbox. Sprawling against grabs, blocking roundhouse punches and overhand and backhand knife strikes, etc. Plenty of time lunging in and giving them the good news with cyclic ice-pick grip strikes, arm and head hooks, to knee strikes to set up more cyclic striking or other tool access from a position of dominance.

A bit tired but feeling great...

My video was touching. I cried profusely, I wish the best for the family, and I only hope one day I can be half the man he is, and can be half the father he is.

What a powerful video. My excuses just went out the window.

    Thank you.

That video makes my challenges seem so small as to be almost non-existent. Helps put life in perspective.

No excuses here. Trained in class yesterday on responding to "attack from behind" and will do my weapons drills today as I do every day. I don't subscribe to the idea that you can develop by only practicing once or twice a week. Every day is a chance to improve.

    No excuse 1st Sergeant.

The first time I saw this was several months ago when I was going through cancer chemo and radiation and it is still as uplifting and still brings on the tears. Thank you for sending it. I have forwarded it to my e-mail list again.

I haven't trained with two hands on a handgun or standing still in over 5 years now.
