Last year in my city, classic example.
Victim handed over wallet, watch, and cell phone. Punk shot him in the face anyway. Might as well go out swinging. Train hard, you might even win. There are few feelings as sweet in this world as practicing this situation, putting the BG on the ground, removing his weapon, and drilling him with his own gun.

Yes, it'd be sweet to use their own gun against them.... but, I'll settle for using my own....
Shame about LEGAL immigrants apparently getting singled out for murder, and "bonus" robbery.
In a case like this, I will go out swinging... or rather, slinging.

I have more confidence in the function of my guns than I do in his.

A truly important point which statistically gives you an edge; but .....

Just that its all really high risk either way. E.g., lets say instead of attempting to draw against the drawn gun you manage to disarm.
Do you immediately turn the BGs gun, now in your hand, to the BG to force him to back down, or do you attempt to throw his and draw your own because your own will work, his--who knows?
The "but..." was intended just as a comment on the awful uncertainty one faces at that instant.

The placing of the lower frame of the weapon on the inner elbow, allows the vertical rotation of the weapon, as a needle on a dial, called an index.

I am sorry but:
"The placing of the lower frame of the weapon on the inner elbow, allows the vertical rotation of the weapon, as a needle on a dial, called an index."
Does not mean anything to me. All English, all words I recognize, but with no meaning as constructed. Can you say it simpler, for us old guys?

Sure. The needle on your gas gauge is called an index. Think of the gun on your inner elbow like the needle on your gas gauge. It allows the gun to rotate around your inner elbow vertically like the gas gauge needle rotates around its center pin. Better?

Well, Okay. But I have no idea what the elbow has to do with anything. Or gas gauges for that matter.
I expect that Tom and I will do it the old fashioned way.

Draw and fire a double tap into his chest. Then one to the head.
I have no interest in controlling his gun hand, or taking prisoners. All that I want to do is meet his deadly threat with enough deadly force to stop the threat. That is: Two to the chest, and one to the head. It has always been that way and will always be that way. Instant and violent.

You asked a question, I tried to answer it.
Tom does control his (BG) gun hand, just not as efficiently.
Do as you see fit.
