    Another factor of the zipper is it is more of a "burst" technique rather than a single, double or triple tap method. Something I consider of significant value.

    Thank you Guantes. Your explanation of slightly earlier impact to the abdominal area and the rising pattern of the subsequent shots makes clear the reasons it stops a threat so effectively . . . and how the technique got its name.
