Howdy Gabe. You haven't offended me. Everything is choices. At least you get people thinking and I believe that's good.
If I ever dig up a Glock, I may try one of your classes.

Don't fret David -- I had the only 1911 in the CRG class I attended and it worked just fine! ;)

Love that photo. Note the 2 fired shell casings in the air.

The gent who "got on the mailing list" got a free newsletter with various articles on topics of interest. The mailing list itself is up to 20 thousand and the only way you get on it is to ask. Those who wish to be removed are done so immediately. Don't want to be there, send me an email and you will be gone
Wasn't complaining about getting the email.
Just couldn't remember signing up. But like I said, I roam far and wide online sometimes.
Well I just tried to log into your forum and I was already registered. :) There you have it.

    Thanks for all the replies.
I think I'm going to try to attend the classes next year.

Nver met Gabe, but Ive exchanged some emails with the man.

Ive read his books too, and just finished his tactical folder video.

I think he has a lot of good stuff to teach. His current work with the AK as a tactical rifle is also a good thing for people who want a black rifle, but cannot afford the high speed, low drag ARs, and want a little more stopping power.

And for the record, I own two very nice 1911s. I just don't carry them, because they dont always work.

My Glocks work ALL the time.

    I keep no student records.
So you won't remember me if I turn up in another of your classes? I'm crushed!

Seriously folks, if you want to be able to survive an encounter, Gabe is the one man who can really help you learn how! You won't regret it if you take his classes!

I think you are misinterpreting Gabe's statement. Likely what he meant (I'm taking some liberty here) is that he's booked with dates for courses next year. . . not that every course is already filled. Although Gabe's classes definitely fill up, so don't wait longer than you need to before registering. Check his website, pick a date/location and call Cheryl and make your reservation.

You don't need a Glock! The classes I took with Gabe last year were full and most were using 1911s (myself included). There was one H&K Tactical IIRC and a few Glocks in the bunch.

I'm happy that Gabe Suarez checked in personally to straighten a few things out for our members here.
It is good that he did that.
I told you that he was a big boy and that he could fend for himself.
The bottom line is that it's all about what works and who can effectively teach what will work in real life situations.

The people who have actually been taught by him all seem to rave about him...so I'm best guessing that they all feel they have learned something quite valuable and that their money was very well spent.

As a CombatCarry moderator who has no actual first hand experience w/ Gabe - I obviously can't tell everyone to go sign up for his classes but, I can say that you should visit his Suarez International site and make your own personal determination as to if you can derive some useful benefit from his classes. It's a great site.
I can be truthful and say that I have heard/read some very positive things regarding his teaching methodology. Go there and read the testimonial comments.

We should all be constantly trying to improve our defensive skills.
