    Yes, LE and other.
Various LE training, including an extended (week long) Officer Survival Seminar.
Experience, many years of uniformed patrol in a high crime urban environment. I consider experience some of the best training available.
Other. I am fortunate to have several friends who are among the premier firearms instructors. We periodically get together for an exchange of ideas. Various training efforts on a personal level.

The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

REALLY glad to see that people are getting to class! That's one thing that sets this board apart from other pic-posting, "ah-bin-shootin-fer-years" 100rds/year boards.

In the past 12 months, I've attended:
    • Magpul Dynamics Pistol 2 (3 days)
    • Magpul Dynamics Carbine 2 (3 days)
    • Oregon Precision Firearms Training Low-Light Pistol (1 night, excellent class)
    • Glock Armorer (1 day)

In recent years, I've also attended:
    • InSights General Defensive Rifle (2 days)
    • FrontSight Defensive Handgun (4 days)

    Also in recent years:
    • Red Cross CPR/AED (recert next week w/ First Aid)
    • Wilderness Medicine Institute Wilderness First Aid

This summer and fall I'm planing to take more classes at Oregon Precision Firearms Training. If funds permit, I'd like to take some tactics classes from InSights and (long shots) a FoF and AK-specific class.

I voted in more than one category:

    Military training
    LEO training
Private training - low light pistol class
Some competition too - GSSF matches
The number of people killed because they didn't have "enough gun" is dwarfed by those who had none at all.

I've had training from the military in security, law enforcement, and corrections. Currrently, I am completing SRF-B (Security Response Force-Basic Level) course on my current ship and also recently requalified on the Beretta M-9 pistol and .50 caliber crew served weapon. Also did a 1 week Navy sponsored combat shooting course at the then Blackwater Training Center (called SSEW course). When I also had my first gun, I also took a basic NRA-sponsored handgun safety course.
Also had prior martial arts training at the FDC Academy (now Linxx Academy=Muay Thai/FMA/JKD Concepts) for about a year back in 1995 as well as the now defunct Norfolk School of Judo and Jujitsu (about over a year of jujitsu) in 2000.
Also attended a 2-day Level 1 Hand/Stick/Knife/Gun Close Quarters Combatives seminar hosted by W. Hock Hochheim back in 2003.
