    Training in Oregon

Can anybody recommend defensive training courses in the north Oregon area. Earlier this summer I received my CCW permit and the added responsibility that goes beyond the owning and safe operation of my pistol. I'm not new to the ownership of firearms, but am new to concealed carry. I checked pbchunker's thread below for good advice on learning some yourself.I would benefit from the hands on. Thanks

    I'll second OFA.

Competent trainers, & they're good people.

Ditto on OFA! Classes fill up fast, you're in for a wait, but worth it.

Check out Double Diamond Tactical. I think you'll find Jeff's approach to training to be extremely practical, NO real estate sales, NO "boot camp" indignation and NO high pressure sales tactics. Only tactics to keep you safe and increase your efficiency and confidence!

    There are a few:

Oregon Firearms Academy in Brownsville. I took several course from them and they are outstanding.
Firearms Academy of Seattle in Onalaska. About the same distance as OFA. I took several course from them and they are outstanding.

I was just looking at the Clackamas County Public Safety Training Center & Indoor Shooting Range. I have not taken any courses from them. They are an indoor range. If you live in the Portland area, they are much closer with no hotel expenses involved. I know several people who have taken classes from them and have been happy.
