    Grip on Handgun

Not sure if this can get over well with words but wondering how forum members grip their handguns. I think thumb placement stands best chance of explaining, assuming right handed shooter--ie: both thumbs independently parallel to the barrel (left thumb forward, tight thumb behind); left thumb locked over right thumb; right thumb behind left thumb at base of left thumb resting on left wrist/left thumb joint; other variation?

Semi auto: Both thumbs forward and parallel to the barrel, left thumb forward of right thumb.

Revolver: Left thumb locked over right thumb.

With regard to how hard you should be gripping your self-defensive firearm.
You need to honestly ask yourself how hard you'll be gripping it when you are slammed into Condition Red, the adrenaline pump has kicked in, the heart rate has kicked up, and two big ol' bad guys are running at you at breakneck speed & one of them is wildly swinging a Panga machete (intended destination...your neck) and the other one has a crowbar held up high ready and wanting to cave in your cranium & turn your brains into soup.

Because that is very likely exactly how hard you will be gripping your firearm if you are ever suddenly tossed into a life threatening scenario where you are forced to use it.

    This is what I use.....

Don"t let stupid be your skill set....

Never be ashamed of a scar. It simply means, that you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you......
