The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.

I'm sorry that he shot his thumb off but I'm glad he didn't shoot his kids, you can live with a stumb but could he deal with mea culpa? Way to go prepers, two weeks in/one's been disarmed so far...
Why?? Because at the last second, the Police are minutes away.

Apparently he never learned the rule to "NEVER POINT A WEAPON AT ANYTHING YOU DO NOT WISH TO DESTROY!"

Murphey's law and accidents DON'T just happen! It isn't "magic" or "karma" or "evil dwarves". It is HUMAN carelessness!

And if it WAS an "experimental" gun, then it was HUMAN error in the design and/or manufacturing process. But at any rate, HE put his thumb in the way of harm by putting it in front of the muzzle. Not the cameraman, not his sons, not some evil dwarf or knome!
Missed one of the rules, for sure!

    Thanks for posting.

so the first thing i was ever taught about guns, and this was WAY BACK i had just gotten my first red ryder bb gun, "don’t point it at anything you don’t want to kill"!

Clearly this guy wasn't fond of that knuckle.

also SO lucky the film team medic was there... otherwise his kids would have probably freaked out, gone in to shock themselves, and watched their dad bleed out and die from a wound in the hand!

ps. isnt that a .22 he was holding before the MANFUNCTION? Slightly surprised that a little bullet did all that! Maybe 9mm isn’t that bad a choice for a defensive round like all the .45 acp folks think!

I am assuming that he did shoot himself with the .22 rifle and that his thumb was pretty close to the muzzle.
I am sure that was more to the wound than just the bullet entry and exit. At that range, there should have been some significant pressure from the muzzle blast.

    Stupidity should be painful.

I bet the one vote for malfunction was a malfunction itself...

You know that that show just like the moonshiners one are produced to stereo type some of us.
Moonshines was to make a bunch of southerners look stupid it worked. There was a long history of making shine in my family none or them were that dumb.
Preppers is just another version. The fact that some of us are concerned about a massive break down in this country scares some and they feel a need to find every extreme case thay can and exploit it. You can bet at the behind close door meeting groups that want to ban all fire arms are watching that junk.
Even the best of us are one minor slip away from being front page news. I spent most of my life around weapons. A pretty good amount of time around a lot of loaded ones.
I have seen it happen to the best. true after a review we always find something that could have prevented it but that does not stop it from happening.
When you read things like this thank God it was not you and think about it maybe you won't be next. It is a long drop of that high horse.

"Man", your giving us men ALL a bad name here!!!!!!!!!

Didn't see the video, but is sounds as though he was in control of the firearm at the time, not in his holster, or it falling from his grasp.
Sounds like a boo-boo on him.
