Some things to think about regarding deflection of bullets

Bullet Reflection Angles Off Hard Surfaces - YouTube

This surprised me a bit as the angles increased.
"A first rate man with a third rate gun is far better than the other way around". The gun is a tool, you are the craftsman that makes it work. There are those who say "if I had to do it, I could" yet they never go out and train to do it. Don't let stupid be your mindset. Harryball 2013

That's definitely a very informative experiment. I passed this video on to my local IDPA club in order to stress the importance of keeping all of your body and gun behind hard cover while utilizing cover.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
