For you guys that did defensive training class

Did you use your carry gun or some thing else for the class. I am taking a gun training class this month and still don't know what gun to use. Glock 23, Glock 19 or Glock 27. Shoot the G19 a little quicker, I like the trigger on the G23 more but G27 carries the best.

Which gun do you carry the most? I would go with that... and if you can't decide... then I would go with the gun you feel LEAST comfortable carrying to train on it.

I have an FNX and a Shield, and for the classes I'm planning on taking I'm going to use my Shield because I carry it. I can shoot the FNX MUCH better, but I need the trigger time with the Shield and it will be what I carry so I want my training to cross over to my carrying.

Well maybe I will use the G27. I plan on making it my primary carry gun.

A Defensive Training class isn't a competition to see who shows-up shooting best. It's more about learning tactics, awareness, and proficiency before you go home. I can't imagine why anyone would take anything OTHER than their EDC. It's like honing your custom 1911 skills razor sharp and then always leaving it in the safe opting for a J Frame. Fer Pete's sake, run what ya' brung! Take two just so a breakage/failure doesn't cost you more than a minute or so.

Yep what ghost said. A Glock is a Glock. Take them all and shoot them all if they will let you.

I brought the gun I carry and four or five magazines. I also brought a second gun with holster - just in case Mr. Murphy reared his ugly head.

I use my carry gun, or another with the same manual of arms. It seem you like glocks, take them with you.. (the 19 should be fine.)

Depending on the round count,I would'nt want to shoot a D.H.1 class with a G27,I would prob settle on the G23,I have had men& women show up with small weapons and not be able to finish the class with it,some may not be recoil sensitive but it's something to consider.

I take them both with me (G19 & G26) because I carry them both depending on clothing, environment etc. I'll include the PM9 on the next class I take.

I train with what I EDC (XD) and cover it like I do everyday. I train to better my reaction if ever I need to act in real life. So why would I want to train any other way than like I EDC?

I don have a back up gun in case of a problem with my EDC
