Nice review, good photos. Spaulding is a trainer I have wanted to work with for some time now.

I assume shooting on the move would be in his 3rd level course?

Great AAR! This looked like a great class.

I may have missed it in reading... was this a one-day course?

I hope we get a chance to meet out there in a training class some time. As with you, I'm currently confined to classes that are closer to home-base.

I hope to get out to TDI's Active Killer/Shooter class next year.

That would be my assumption as well.

I had to run home at lunch and put on long pants.

    Two day actually.

Well, I'm not really confined per se - this class was just super convenient for me. So far I've not had to leave the state of Ohio to get the training I'm seeking....we've got some great resources available here. TDI is only a couple of hours away from me.

I trained with Dave twice at IALEFI seminars the last one this past November.
Dave is a solid guy, great speaker and a down to earth instructor.
If you have a chance don't miss a chance to take a class with him.

Ah! That makes more sense. See, I told you I probably mis-read something.

Doh! Again, my apologies, I mis-read!

Agreed. Ohio is actually filled with very good resources when it comes to training.

BTW, Raven Concealment is going to be bringing more top-tier training to NE-Ohio. They hosted both the HE01 and HE02 sessions of Costa Ludus earlier this summer, and they're going to host Paul-E-Palooza, too (which, most sadly, I won't be able to attend due to other obligations ). Trek, their operations manager, said to expect a lot more.

Awesome AAR! Massad Ayoob and Dave Spaulding's articles in a few gun rags are why I keep my subscription every year.

Great review and kudos for your taking your training seriously.
"A first rate man with a third rate gun is far better than the other way around". The gun is a tool, you are the craftsman that makes it work. There are those who say "if I had to do it, I could" yet they never go out and train to do it. Don't let stupid be your mindset. Harryball 2013

Good review...Thanks for posting...Proof positive that TRAINING does improve your skills...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
