    What did I just do???

I am 58 years old with a bad back, rotator cuff tear and I only go to war when it is 70 degrees during the day. Why did I just sign up for this? I am going to die.

Let's see, if you stay off the bars, stay out of the cold water, and avoid the hand-to-hand training, you should do just fine!

The worst thing about growing old is other men no longer see you as dangerous Either you are going to feel very old or still feared. I remember when I was 58 and thought I could still keep up with the young guys and could not stand up straight for a week afterwards. :) Good luck and have fun.

Sounds interesting but I am severally under-qualified for this, maybe if I were 40 years younger I would be willing to give it a try.

1890$ for a week of PT hell and malnourishment? Is it possible you were drinking when you made this decision :)

Sounds interesting and fun, I don't know if I would spend 2k plus (including travel expense) on it though.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt

Look at it this way, at least you can say you did it, or died trying....

You could come to my place and spend a week moving rip rap, loads of wood chips/mulch, cutting up fallen trees in the woods I've been meaning to get to (and carry them while running to the stacking place), and clearing some brush. Just to make it kind of "combatty", I'll ambush you every so often with a foam pool noodle.

I'll only charge you half what they're charging.

With all due respect, OP, you truly are nuts!

I was 18 when I went through boot camp, and it still took me months to heal and recuperate afterward. At age 47, I'm pretty sure that same experience would kill me.
