    Inexpensive practice rounds...

    ...back shortly after bees, we used to get a Lee priming tool and Lee deprimer...and reprime our .38 cases, then press the cases through a block of canning wax from the grocery store...they were OK for short range revolver practice...
    ...first time I've thought of them during this ammo shortage...they ought to be fine for 12-15 feet...I used 'em to practice point shooting way back then...

    ...now it seems that it'd be easier to warm the cases with a hair dryer a bit and "load" them before repriming so you wouldn't have compression resistance...
    ...went from there to the Speer plastic bullets primer powered also...
