Speed will come with good consistent practice.

Brownie, another good video. I like combining the old with the new.

Az, I'm curious, do you train almost exclusively with the QK method or do you still dedicate time to using your sights? I've always used my sights but have been very intrigued by the QK method since I saw one of your posts about it a few weeks back. Thanks for sharing these videos! I hope to make it to some of your training some time in the future!

Yeah, Im in the same boat as DJC7, on this one. If I understand the OP correctly, what hes doing in the video is a WW II technique?

Im totally lost on this half hip, 3/4 hip stuff. No clue what that means.

Picture yourself in a fight and backing up. The way I have been taught and trained is as you are backing up you start firing from the hip then bring the gun to 3/4 then to full sight.

Thanks, Harry. That I understand. So, does it work? Im guessing it must, and will try it, though unless at point blank, I was trained to at least get the front blade on them.

It does work. In my training it was from contact to almost 10 feet. IMO you should be on your sights when you hit the 10 foot mark. I use a combination of what brownie is teaching and what I have learned from others.

OK. That makes more sense to me. Yeah, at contact, I was trained not to worry about sights, and fire while backing up, and gradually aquire sights & bring to proper two hand position.

Once I get a front blade on target, (at distances further than contact), the "target" is getting worn out.

Reading some of Az's other threads/posts, though, it sounds like this QK method can be accurate out to distances well past where you would think you need to start using sights. Kind of curious where he starts using sights if at all.
