And the end, usually. Training/performance topics don't seem to garner much attention here most of the time. I find that unfortunate, but I get it. This particular thread has only had sixty-some views since it went up this morning.

2 com in 1.3 to 1.5 sec from concealed is my present best with a SR40c as of yesterday. When younger I was tad faster but spinal issues slowed me a little. I work hard to shave every tenth of sec I can off my time every time I and the wife train.

Speed isnt everything there is but when the time comes to make a move, however that plays out, its darn big part of it.

Speed is like many other things in life. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

If you carry, FoF training is very important. If you can't use your sidearm effectively, it becomes a liability and not an asset. IMHO.

The most important thing with this article may not be can I do this NOW but rather the setting of a goal I may need or want to be able to do. We are never where we need to be as there is always room to improve. Or at least that's my view on things. I am pushing forward, looking to become that which I see others doing.

FOF is where one test that which he has learned and practiced to see if it's what you thought it to be. Does it save you from getting shot or does it fail.

Harry, I am not Roger, but in my eyes that's why we need to make them ours. Do you freeze when you need to take a step or breathe no it just happen. Same with your skills here make them a unthought of process. If you have to think you've lost before you started. Just like in a fist fight if you have to think about which and what punch to throw, your getting the crap pounded out of you.

There are those who say "you will fight like your worst day on the range" I say you will fight at the level you have made your practice yours.
