    Carbine/pistol...All invited...

I was on the phone with Tacman the other night talking to him about a possible class with Kyle Lamb. That is still in the works. That being said, I asked him what he needed for us to host him. He informed me what he needed, which was 6 students to make it worth his while to come to Lansing. Looks like it is a go. This is an invite to all that may be interested..

The cost is 150. For the two day class...Other details if wanted will be sent via PM...

    G-man started a thread....The DC " Shootist Holiday" about a get together.

Based on that I thought I would post this to see if there is any interest in a DC shoot.

The class will be held on the last weekend in May. Exact dates are May 31st and June 1st...

If you think you can make it, please send me a PM for other details. This is not a NRA class.

This is an opportunity to have a DC get together in conjunction with training.

    Oh man, now that's a GREAT deal. $150 for a two-day class with a top-flight instructor is simply unheard-of.

I wish I could make it, but that week's always earmarked for the wifey's work conference.

    HB,

I know I said my calender was full but I've had some schedule changes. I might be able to make that work - no guarantee.

I'll look in to it and give you a call tomorrow.

    Excellent idea!

Maybe we should try to set up something similar in AZ or TX during the winter months...

We have the minimum for the class, so there is still plenty of room if people are still interested.

On a side note, I was working around the house yesterday and sprained my trigger finger...Good grief....

Sorry have not been on for awhile.

I will be a great class. From what I understand we have folks from entry level to instructor with a multitude of different firearms I will assure you that no matter what gun you use you will come away a better shooter.

There are some basic things you can do to make the class easier on you and me.

    1. We train rain or shine, cold or hot so please bring appropriate clothing for each.
    2. No flip flops, sandals, house shoes to be worn, you would be surprised. Boots or tennis shoes are fine.
    3. Wear some sort of shirt or neck wrap that will prevent brass from going down your shirt.
    4. Either pre load your mags and/or dump your ammo into a container as to not slow down the flow of your class.
    5. If your weapon/carbine requires tools to remove or zero your optic/sights bring it with you. Yes you will be removing/taping them for a portion of the drills.
    6. If you have any medical condition that requires daily meds make sure in all the excitement you take them that morning and bring along whatever you need in case of emergency or your daily dose.
    7. If you have more than one weapon you want to shoot bring it. If you have your own tacvest, plate carrier, chest rig or whatever bring it with you however they are not required however if you show up with 40 pounds of gear that you purchased from ebay be prepared to use it til it tears up or it is proven not to work and you decide to dump it.
    8. If your lights, lasers, optics, rangefinders or any other electronic dohicky requires batteries put new ones in before class and bring extra with you. It never fails that your three year battery will go dead on the line in the middle of a drill.
    9. We will run a quick zero of the rifles however have your rifle zeroed before class if possible.
    10. Last but not least please leave your pre-conceived notions at the door.

Hope this helps. Will see you at the class.

@ Gasmitty. I'd take a couple of days off and land my butt in Sky Harbor to attend! I can bring Son # 1, as Son #2 is NSW and will no doubt be deployed at the time.

What? You only have 1 trigger finger Harry?

I know you know this but for those who don't, anytime we get injured we should make it an opportunity to learn to use the other hand and/or fingers.

    Have fun and get well.
