A similar demo by Costa (taped sights) followed by such an evolution for all the students was what proved to be most revealing of my personal inadequacies in various portions of the shooting fundamentals (in terms of sighted shooting) as well as was what drove me to wards seeking threat-focused and point-shooting skills.

    That's nice shooting there, AzQkr.

They might at that sir. Thank goodness all my sd firearms have sights, I'd be on them in the real world at those longer 25 yrd distances.

Appreciate the thoughts from everyone. It's quite easy to learn and use, a real confidence builder.

Ok.. firstly let me say good shooting simply because it was good shooting. However, I dont really see how this is "point shooting" if you are using a traditional stance and looking down the slide at eye level same as someone would if they had sights. You are in fact, not using sights and [good job] but I dont really see how this is point shooting aka "quick kill".

Gun is not at eye level using Quick Kill Pistol, it's between the nose and mouth in height [ 2-3" below line of sight ]. Without the specific reference point between the intended POI and the end of the slide in one's peripheral vision, it could not be as accurate [ repeatable ]. Never directly looking at the firearm, looking at the threat. The gun is seen in peripheral vision only.

I was happy with most of the hits, coulda done better on the head shots, could have redone that for the vid but left everything just the way it happens. Obviously the 3 misses on the head shots were me, not the skill or firearm used.

I am familiar with the concept.. Its just hard to judge from the angle of the video, if you say that is what you are doing.. I will take your word for it.

The footage in this vid gives you a clearer view of the guns relationship to eye level.

Same skill, just using a 1911 with no sights on it.
