This is a discussion on Integrated Threat Focused Training Returning to Easton, Pa in May 07 within the Defensive Carry & Tactical Training forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; It's confirmed. Integrated Threat Focused Training Systems [ ITFTS ] will be in Easton, Pennsylvania May 5 and 6 of this year.
In two days attendees will learn the “Quick Kill with a pistol or revolver” © methodology: presented by Robin Brown, who was trained by Bobby Lamar “Lucky” McDaniel, the founder of this threat focused [without the use of the sights] handgun system. Mr. Brown holds the registered copyright to this handgun threat focused system and is the only instructor who presently trains others in this system of unsighted fire.
Fairbairn/Sykes/Applegate World War 2: several threat focused shooting skills will be covered within this very effective and well documented threat focused system.
We'll also be covering shooting on the move using the various skills above on the second day.
This is a unique opportunity to learn various known threat focused methodologies. Each has it's own unique strengths dependant on time and distance in an armed defensive situation using a handgun.
The course will require participants to have eye and ear protection and bring 2000 rounds of ammunition for their firearms.
Cost for the two days is $400.00.
If you live in the Philadelphia area, here is a chance to learn how to shoot quickly and accurately without utilizing your sights at combat distances out to 30 feet or more.

Any plans to do anything in the Northwest?
"Learn as if you'll live forever...Live as if you'll die tomorrow" - SOULFLY
Where am I going....and why am I in a hand basket???
I'll be bringing the course to that part of the country by the end of the year or next spring sir.
Even thought Robin and I have had our differences of late and I am no longer a part of the ITFTS team, I wish him the best of luck and he is a talented instructor and when it comes to Quick Kill rifle and pistol he is above approach.
This class is the perfect opportunity for new shooters to open their minds to threat focused shooting.
2,000 rounds?!?! IN TWO DAYS?? WHOOO HEEEE... That sounds like it's going to be FUN!
I'll have to take a look at it and see what kind of twisting and turning with the finances I can do.. I would LOVE to take a class like that.
Thanks for your thoughts 7677.
There are 3-4 coming from the Philly area as well. If you decide it's something you break away for, pm or email me for specifics or questions.
I would have to second 7677's comment. Brownie is an expert in the drills related to threat focus. A very dynamic instructor who has you at the firing line shooting. Though I have been an instinctive shooter and hunter for years I just recently found all these gun forums. I was shocked at the aurguments over sighted vs unsighted groups. Knowing a little about this I understood and agreed with the techniques described. All of our students have found the course very benificial. Many have been to top rated schools and felt they received more practical info and techniques from Brownies course.
Anyway a friend and I decided to give this a try and see just what was up with this. There is a better way to improve self defense skills. Putting money where our mouth was allowed us to get an unbiased opinion on the techniques. It changed my whole system for close range fighting. Speed increased about 30%.
Who ever you use, it will give you an eye opening jolt. Most for the first time in their life will realize they finally have the skill set to really defend themselves.
I appreciate your observations and comments about the course and the benefit to others sir.
This event has come and gone.
Here are some reviews of the weekend.
Thanks to those attending. The students were on top of their skills and we progressed rapidly throughout the weekend.
I'm on to Knoxville, Tenn this Monday for a 9 day Integrated Threat Focused Training Systems training event, then moving on to Santa Fe, N.M. 2 weeks later.

I never made it to this event this year. When will you next be providing the session in or around the easton area?
The sponsors are getting the available range dates for sometime in Oct.
As soon as I get the specific weekend dates, I'll be posting them here as well as on my own site.
I look forward to meeting you when I come into the Philly area in the fall if you can make it.
Brownie - i look forward to the training and meeting you in Oct.
