    Northern Az. forum members training info.

    Hey everyone! Thanks for the great input on this. I'm thinking a good weekend is the 14 -15 of July. Brownie sent this as an example; Close in one handed skills, and and two handed QK, shooting on the move laterally and obliques, FoF if there are enough airsofts brought to class, H2h skills to include disarms front and rear that work, and learning how to foul a draw when it's contact distance, etc. If we want something diffrent, we can work that in also. The cost is $300.00per person for both days, He gave us a discount as we are all DC forum members (100.00 per ) For FoF we need airsoft guns, does anyone have any? I'm willing to buy one, as I think the training would be invaluable. (we will need 2 more). Let me know what you think,We are not set in stone on this yet, so we can make changes if need be, but need to finalize it pretty soon. Rex

    flagflyfish;

    The prospective course has not been advertised outside the forum so we can tailor the course to the skills the members who are attending would like to have included on this one as well as offering the discount you mentioned to members here.

    I'd suggest we cover drawing to several of the one handed skills extensively from 3-10 feet, moving obliquely left and right out of the kill zone with the sprint and hits; skills that allow your running laterally from 12-14 feet from the threats while making torso hits; then one and two handed threat focused Quick Kill from 15-30 feet.

    As there was interest in FoF skills training, we'll include it. I'll have two airsofts with me and if students bring one or two more between them we'll certainly have enough and may work with two [ multiple ] BG scenarios.

    If people want it, I'll include some H2H skills for close quarters to include the disarms front and rear as well.

    I appreciate the forum members' stated interest in attending so lets make it their event and tweek the course to their specifc interests here. Those dates work for me, if they work for everyone else but I'm flexible here and if more people can attend different dates in July, lets look at that as well.

    1200-1500 rds should be sufficient for the weekend.

    I am good for the 14-15th of July. If you need me to purchase and airsoft gun I can. I do not have one now.

    How can payment be made? Paypal good? Cash? CC?

    I look forward to this! In terms of skills, I am a novice. This will be my first training of this type.

    azchevy;

    Normally I'd take advance deposits but in this instance, with members, I'll see everyone that first morning of training for payment. I don't take paypal but accept cash or checks.

    Looking forward to meeting and training with you.

    Okay, so we're looking at $100 total, for both days, correct? Or is it $200 for the whole weekend?

    1500 rounds. Geez!! We did that in a week at Gunsite. This sounds GREAT.

    Now, where exactly are we doing this and will it be accessible by car or truck-only?

    SixBravo;

    The two days is 300.00 just for the members here which is a 100.00 discount from the normal two day course price.

    flagflyfish will be able to answer the where and how accessable it is for us.

    I just ordered two airsoft g17's with enough gas and pellets to tide us over. A few members bringing theirs and we'll be "good to go" with the FoF.

    Will we need multiple magazines for our guns, or will 2 be enough?
    (That will determine what I bring...)

    Hi Bill,

    I'd bring as many mags as you have for the firearm you'll be using. The more mags you can have loaded, the more shooting you will be doing.

    Many of the students bring 6-10 highcaps, others the same number in single stacks, but the single stacks shoot less rds overall for the two days.

    I only have 2 mags for each of my carry guns, and I'd rather train with one of those. I have 5-6 for my G20, so that's an option if needed. I wasn't how much time we'd have between scenerios for reloading.
    Thanks!

    Two mags works, but you'll leave the line to go reload while others are still shooting the techniques.

    Dependant on what you have for carry guns, I may have a few extra mags for you to use. Shoot me a pm and let me know what you plan to bring, I may be able to accomodate/suppliment them for you.

    I'm hoping to use the pit out on Deer Valley Rd. between Flagstaff and Williams. It's pretty privite out there. There is also one at the base of Wing Mountain, just outside of Flag. All of the pits are accessable by car. There are lots of Hotels , Pay canpgrounds,and Dry camping close by. I will keep a watch on forest closeures, as that will dictate where we shoot. Hey Brownie, where did you order the airsoft guns from?

    No problem at all with bringing friends of Defensive/Carry members. I think a few others are bringing friends as well.
