    Houston CCW classes

    Hey Gang:

Looking to renew my CCW, But it looks like I have to do the complete course as I let it lapse do to being out of work for over a year. so it's been over a year that it's not been valid.

Does any know where I can take a class in the Houston area ( Kingwood/Humble) North Houston.

I talked to a guy at the gun show & he wanted over a $100, I only payed $50 the first time.

What is the going rate now??

You can check at Hot Wells shooting range on Rt 290. Their number is 281-373-0232.

That is where my wife and I took our class. It was a few years ago, so I don't know the price.

I took mine at Carter's Country off Treshchwig (sp) a couple of years ago and I think it was a little over $100.

I thought that it was a great place to take the course.

I just checked today. Here are the ones closest to me....

American Shooting Centers: $175 (one saturday every other month, next one is in August)

Top Gun Range: $135 (saturday full days or tuesday/wednesday split)

Memorial Oaks Shooting Club: $125 (call for available days; willing to accommodate)

All of these don't provide a meal nor ammo. But all of them provide pictures, finger prints, notary, and some other fancy stuff.

I have heard that Shane's Shooting Center in Muenster, TX is cheaper and does provide a meal/ammo.

    I hope this helps.
