CCW permit in AZ - length of process?

Hello. I'm signed up to take a CCW training course in Arizona in August (the first course that I found to be available after I get back from Washington). I looked at the AZ CCW website & their FAQ says that after they receive the paperwork they typically turn it around & mail out the permit within 3 business days. Can anyone who has recently applied in AZ for a CCW confirm how long it took for them to receive theirs? Below is the FAQ website I looked at:

According to the National Safety Council, we are more likely to die in a bicycle accident or plane crash than an accidental gun shooting. We should ban bicycles & planes before banning guns.

    swift,

It's currently running an average of three weeks. Few will be three days.

My wife recently got her AZ CCW. It took 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly.

Hey Swift! it takes about 10 days to get your permit in the mail. See

I sent mine in the mail (from Tucson) on 7/9 and got it back on 7/18. So only about a week and a half.

Good news. Arizona DPS is currently processing CCW permits very quickly. I mailed my paperwork in on Monday Aug 27th, and I received my CCW permit in my mailbox the following Saturday 5 days later. Allowing for a couple of days for the mail on each trip, that would indicate that it only took them one or two days to process the permit once they received my paperwork.

    Well done Arizona DPS.

If you ask to talk to a proccesor they will come out and confirm that your app is correct.
