    Instructor KARMA

I'm working on scheduling an NRA Instructor Course @ NRA in Fairfax VA sometime in December. I haven't settled on the date because I have not yet received word from my co-instructor trainer on his availbility.

Since, I just got engaged and everybody this forum has been very nice and this is probably the best forum I've ever been on I'm going to run and instructor Karma for those people interested in becoming an NRA Certified pistol Instructor.

What does this mean? You can teach NRA courses for pistol that will meet the "Training requirements for the state of VA to apply for ones CHP" Yep you guessed it you can teach a class to friends, familiy, complete strangers, and satisfy the training requirements for them to apply for CHP's in Virginia, it also meets Floridas requirements, as well as a few more states, OH, Mass, etc......

So next week for thos that are interested I'll pick a name from the people interested and they will be able to take the course Free of Charge!

Normally, I charge $250-300 dollars to take this course.

So if you want in on this Karma just let me know. I'll also post the date probably in a few days.

I'm in. I was NRA Pistol certified until 2002, but let it lapse.

    CREBRALFIX---

There is a agrace period. If you let it lapse for 5>years you can still renew your creds. Basically, if you go over to the sand box or other things happen in your life that put you out of the teaching world for a while you still can renew. It is in the manual that you have to stay current; however, we don't punish guys for fighting in the sand box who haven't been able to teach etc.... etc....

If you do renew and you want to go through the course as a refresher to stay current, I don't see any problem having you sit in to get caught up on whats going on no charge.

    Yeah there are some prereqs....

The pre reqs are nothing like classes you have to take or anything like that.

Its more or less can you demostrate that you can safely handle and shoot a Semi, Revovler.....etc...The pre req takes about 30 minutes.

Please add me to the pool. I will drive up from NC for the class. I called the NRA instructor training hotline to get a list of local instructors but never received it in the mail.

    Thanks
