Wish me luck, the wife has agreed to advanced training

I just got off the phone with me wife, she has finally agreed (rather enthusiastically) to go to the combat course/steel plate range with me this afternoon.

She has been asking me to get her some advanced training this summer, much like the stuff I teach incoming agents on the task force, but she never wanted to go to the shoot houses out of looking foolish "in front of the guys". SO, I scheduled today for the range to be empty and off we go.

    I'll come back one of three ways;

    1. Shot
    2. Divorced
    3. A big studly hero (the same condition I arrived in)

I have her G19 all ready to go, but I'm going to try and convert her to a 228 today.

Now that I'm thinking this through, maybe it isnt such a good idea. She already has "the look" to defeat me with, perhaps she doesnt need any more tools to take me down with.

Only worry if she confirms that the insurance is paid up before you leave for the range bud lol .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

Good luck, sounds VERY cool. Hope you get proper credit too for unloading the dishes and mowing the lawn. My wife would only starting listing all the things that remain to be done, if I brought that stuff up.

    Sixto, Sixto, Sixto.......

Never try to teach your wife how to drive, golf, or shoot. Nothing good can come of it....!

    Have fun!

The post-range report should be a good read. Please update us later (if able).

I suggested advanced training for my wife and she said she does not need any she's been running a vaccuum and washing dishes for years, and if I don't like the way she washes my clothes I can wash my own

You're doin' great SIXTO! Wives need to know how to shoot and advanced training is even better.

My wife has no interest in shooting at all. She's fine with all my shooting/training - just no interest in it for herself.

I think she is a little nervous about going with me, as I tend to be a little intense. (who woulda guessed?) She has also watched me train dogs, I think she's afraid I'll break out the check cords and E collars.

All kidding aside, my intent is to keep things as low key as possible. I don't want to ruin a good time or future sessions. There will be another PD instructor around, so I might just take a back seat if needed.
