Training advice for a junior shooter

One of the firefighters I work with has expressed interest in me teaching his 11 year old son to shoot. no one in the family has any experience and the boy expresses an interest in anything gun related (sound familiar to any of you ?) I want to prepare some stuff for him to study, you might call it "homework". I'd like him to do some research and a bit of studying to help him learn. I imagine I'll include the 4 rules and probably a picture of different firearms for parts identification.

Besides the NRA, any other suggestion for sites? Any idea for "quiz questions"?

I intend to make this into a family activity for them all, hoping for a whole family of new converts. Your help and ideas are welcome as always.

Have you considered becoming an NRA Instructor; itis a 1 day course that is well worth the time, even for an old timer like me who was a small arms instructor in the Army (small arms is everything up to the 3.5 in. rocket launcher).
The NRA trainer will have experience in training kids.
The first rule of a gunfight: "Don't be there !"
The second rule: "Bring enough gun"

    4-H BB Rifle Safety Guide

4 H does a great intro program for young shooter with a BB gun that can really easily translate to anything else. Just a suggestion but I am a fan having been through it years ago as well as Boy Scouts, NRA and others. It is a GREAT starter
    2A is not negotiable
