Hi Matt !
I need some help regarding statistics. I would like to know if there are any kind of regulations regarding how many hours of training a police officers has to have each year.
That regarding defensive tactics, expandable baton etc ...
Also if there are such regultaions for door supervisors.
Who is checking that it is done ? How many hours are done in fact ? I do mean the training which is arranged by Dept. Not the training the officers are doing by themseles.
In Sweden we do have the regulations that the officers have to have a minimum of 12 hours a year.
I do understand it could differ depending on the state Dept.
Appreciate any help I can get.
Take care
Slavo
If anyone can help Slavo please respond to him at:
ipdt@ipdta.com
Thanks in advance.

training
The state of Alabama requires at least 12 hours of continueing education a year to keep your APOST for law enforcement. Firearms qualification is not included in that.
