My knives get used, but stay razor sharp. My two most used knives are the Rat Cutlery Izula and the Chris Reeve Sebenza. I have others though. I usually carry a knife, but not every day. I really like carrying a small fixed blade now, but I really love my Sebenza, so it's a mix. I have a little training in edged weapons, but it's not something I see using. i carry a Surefire LX2, E2B or E2D LED usually, along with Sabre RED on my keys. The one thing I was interested in learning was handgun retention with an edged weapon. Very interesting, but again, not something I really see using. Although, it's nice to know the little that I do.

If my main reason for carrying a knife was defense, I'd carry the Emerson or a Hinderer. I really like how quick the Emerson is to open.

Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

As of right now I carry 3 sogs. A flash 2, a twitch xl and a twitch 2. I gave my trident to my buddy while he waits for his knife to come in. I switch it up every so often, but I ALWAYS have a blade and I use most of them. I feel if you carry a good quality knife like many mentioned here you can use (not abuse) it and still have a perfectly good sd tool.

Spyderco Endura in ZDP steel. Gets used all the time. I can draw, open, close, etc. practically in my sleep. I'd say I use it every other day on average, maybe every two days. Always on me. Chance I'll need that instead of the pistol, pretty slim.

I usually have at least two knives on me at all times. One is the daily cutter and the other is for SD. Since I have gotten the Falkniven U2 it has been my cutter. Its a fantastic little knife with the best blade I have ever used. My SD is either a BM 710 with D2 or a Griptilian with D2.

Spyderco Delica Wave. It's always handy so I end up using occasionally for things. I practice deploying it a lot since I wear it on my weak side. I am thinking about getting a kerambit of some type.

TOPS Knives Scorpion's Tail (surprisingly good for utility) and a CRKT M16-14M.

    Great knives.

I used to carry a Gerber that I had for a few years. It was recently lost, and I have been very sad. I loved that knife..

Replaced it with LA Police Gear Tactical Folding Knife

CR Small Sebenza has been my EDC for over 10 years!

Great knife! If I'm in the yard or shop working I add a Mora 510.5 (that is a Mora 511 with the guard ground off) in a kydex pocket or neck sheath.
    Hooah! It's an Army thing!
