I have a Spyderco Endura IV. Although it is primarily for self-defense, I use it sometimes for only cutting rope in my job. If needs be, it can also be used to cut someone's clothes when administering first aid or freeing him/her from an escalator. And it is still sharp enough to cut through paper.

photo 1.JPG This is the one I am making for my EDC. It is O1 steel. It is being made to wear on your weak side, horizontal carry, on belt. Still have to get final shape down, heat treat, and then final edge and handle. My others I have made have green micarta handles and I can't seem to make knives with anything else, it looks too good with the steel.

- Emersons are very addictive. I just picked up a Traveler and am eagerly anticipating the Mini Roadhouse.
