My very first EDC knife was a Byrd Cara Cara and held that title for 5yrs until this year. When I replaced it with the SOG Trident and Cold Steel mini AK. My Trident is my primary EDC knife while the mini AK gets back up use.

I carry a mix of a few. My two standards are my Lil Loco from Shiv worx (Looking at buying another one possibly), or I carry one of two folders. 1) Benchmade Onslaught partially serrated or my spyderco military partially serrated. Near by though I always have a multi tool like a leatherman or gerber.

My last case cracked so I need another. I actually like the magpul case, but even though I see them every time I'm at the shop, I haven't bought one. I would like something like the Otterbox for when I'm out hunting or doing something else where I run a higher risk of damaging it.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

I like the Magpul cases as well. I carry my iPhone "naked". ForumFoundry, the folks that own DC have forums for iPhone (iPhone Forum) and iPad (Apple iPad Forum). Additionally, they own a form for folks that are preparing for SHTF (Prepper Forum / Survivalist Forum) Stop by and say Hey!

I've carried a Schrade Firebird sp3 as a tool for 16 years. Great little knife. For SD a Gerber Icon for the left hand to go with my Ruger P89.

Check out "Life Proof" cases...they are tough, not bulky at all, and they are waterproof. As in, jump in the pool and film HD quality vids under water proof.

    Sorry for getting off topic....

75% of the time I carry a Kershaw Blur, the rest of the time I alternate between a few S&W assisted openers, a Gerber, and a cheap Hummer assisted opener.

I've been eyeing up a desert Roadhouse. But I probably wouldn't really use it. I just "want" it.
