Hey im new
First I'd like to start off by saying hi being a new user and all!
Next, I just bought a S.O.G SEAL PUP combat knife for the intent of defense and hunting, and just to be safe I called my local police dept. And they said I cannot carry any knife over 3 inches...my knife is 7.
So now I'm kind of disappointed, but hey, a lay is a law.

It can get worse. In Michigan, it depends on what county/city you are in. Makes travel REALLY interesting. I don't even bother with a knife for SD. Just a small knife for utility, usually a Gerber Evo Jr. It's small enough to pass most of the restrictions and cheap enough to replace when needed.

Welcome!
Most states specify a legal maximum blade length, usually 3" ~ 4".

Welcome from Michigan! Just curious: What are you going to hunt with that knife?
