Only for people who don't have CHP (concealed hands permit).

It wont stop the criminals though.

You should have told him your junk was itching and it was less noticable to scratch through your pockets, but you'd start scratching outside the pants from now on if that made him less nervous.

Tell him you're trying to ignite the bomb in you pants and start ululating: Balalalalalala!!!! See what he does. If he ducks for cover, he's definitely paranoid. Yes, I'm just kidding.

Flip it out and ask "bigger or smaller than this one?".

I usually have my knife clipped to my pocket, but forgot it, and so I had a knife I keep in my car in my pocket, in my hand.

    Odd he would say that...
That was totally out of line!

I think we should all have a pocket free workplace. After all, that is where criminals store their weapons and drugs...

That's a personal thing that has nothing to do with the job, so he can go pound sand. I think I would have asked him why he was starring at anything below my beltline. Maybe he's just an insecure "Nancy Boy."

Ask him why he needs to see your hands. I bet he's been a Cop or Prison Guard at some point. Hands in pockets get my attention too.

Unless on the off chance the OP may at one time given him cause for this concern.

My immediate supervisor once told me to assume the position so I assumed a nice right fighting stance, hands up, chin tucked and looked at him with every intent of continuing our conversation. He hasn't used that attempt at humor on anyone in a while.

I think he was checking you out! Sounds like sexual harassment! You could call HR and file a complaint.
