Invictus Kydex Boker Subclaw Bikini Sheath

I am a Scout Leader and this year will attend resident camp with my son. There are no fixed blades allowed. I will no doubt have one tucked away but want to model the appropriate behavior for the boys. I wanted to carry a small knife that I could wear around my neck since I will be in an out of the water. I also wanted it to be inexpensive enough that if I lost it or damaged it, replacing would not be costly. I settled on the Boker Subclaw and had Matt from Invictus Kydex make me this bikini sheath. Fits all the Sub knives.

They banned fixed blades at a Cub/Boy Scout camp? WTH is up with the scouts these days? That's about the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Hey I'm an Eagle scout, some of the people I saw at scout camp were some of the worst knife handlers around. Totin chip or not they should have always been surrounded by a safety circle.

Scouts haven't encouraged fixed blades for a long time, at least since the 90's when I was in scouts and probably much longer than that. Folder, hatchet and saw are the preferred tools. I think it's a good idea, considering most scouts are on the young side of teens and pre-teens, and kids are pretty much on their own at camp during the day.

That Subclaw w/ the Invictus kydex sheath is pretty darn cool. Talked with Matt at Invictus and are going to have him make me up one. Thanks for sharing the thread.
