Tenacious or 556. Input please...
Looking for a new folder for EDC and would appreciate any input on the following two knives.
I am interested in the Spyderco Tenacious or the Benchmade 556. For those that have owned or handled both, which one do you prefer and why? Also, if you like the 556 more, what makes in worth approximately twice the price of the Tenacious? I know the Tenacious is made in China, but other than where it was made, does the quality compare favorably with the Benchmade 556?
Thanks for your opinions

The Benchmade 556 is an excellent knife, but my EDC is the Spyderco Tenacious. The price of the Tenacious is fantastic for the quality of the knife you get, it may be China made but the blade holds it's edge very well. Some people don't like the inner lock, but I prefer it for one handed closing. The thumb hole for fast opening works great, and is on less thing to snag in a pocket IMHO.
I have handled the 556 and though it is a fine knife, I prefer my Tenacious.

I think the Benchmade Axis lock is one of the best locks on the market. That would make the choice very simple for me.

Got the Benchmade
Bought the Benchmade Griptillian. Very happy with it. Should fit my needs for an EDC just fine.

GF bought me a Spyderco Tenacious about a week ago, and since then I haven't carried any of my other blades. The aesthetics of it are very visually pleasing, the opening is very nice, and it locks up SOLID. Jimping (spelling?) it stout and blade cuts very well.. I catch myself still grabbing it from my pocket and opening/closing it!
