I have carried a Boker Nealy Escort daily for 6 years or so. The retention in the magnetic sheath is good and the blade itself holds a good edge.

Boker makes a good knife for a good price. Can't ask for much more from a knife manufacturer...

    Yup!

I've got a couple around the house, and love their catalog.

Boker is a good company. Been around like 150 years. If you are looking for a "tactical" knife, try Benchmade, Spyderco, Cold Steel, Kershaw, and CRKT. All top notch knife companies.

Let me ask the question a different way, because Boker puts it's name on lots of knives in lots of price categories. They have knives that are under thirty dollars. Are they any good? I have a Boker Bowie that is beautiful. I don't dare use it for anything but admiring. I also have a Boker AK that I like a lot. It is a big bruiser. I don't know about the rest of their line.

Boker has a line of knives made in Argentina, under the name Magnum, sometimes Boker Magnum. You can often get these super cheap, but they are still not bad knives at all. Manufacturing is much cheaper in these Chinese and Argentinian plants, so the end products are less expensive. If Boker puts their name on it you are getting a good knife that you can rely on, at least in my experience.

I don't know about thier more modern tactical lines. All of my Bokers are older Boker Tree Brand knives. They are very good, just don't try to pry with them.
