    Awesome Fathers Day Gift

    I am a fan of carrying a cane and have admired Black Thorns for some time but all those I have seen have a knob on the top while I prefer T-Handled canes for self defense use. Plus genuine Black Thorns are dificult to come by and a plastic Cold Steel imitation just is not the same thing.

    This year I was given a genuine Black Thorn for Father Day, that a Bro purchased many years ago, in Ireland while in the navy. The story of the cane was that it was made by the same man who made John F Kennedy's Black Thorn identified by a Irish Penny that he would imbed in the handle. My Bro had given it to his mom years ago. She was my adopted mom, a lady I cherished and loved dearly. A few years ago she had passed away and her son wanted to give me something to remember her by. So this was his Fathers Day gift to me in memory of his, our mom.

    I thought I would share it with you as it is a unique and rare Black Thorn the first I have ever seen with a T-Handle.

    Thanks all. Glad that I shared it with you all here. Lots of folks would think oh a cane... so um nice. While those here can appreciate it for what it is, as well as it's story. So thanks, glad you liked it.
