I despise knifecenter. I curse them for their incessant emails regarding their awsome specials. I spit their name thru my clenched teeth as I punch in my CC information and buy YET ANOTHER knife from them. Damn those guys!

Been wanting to get that off my chest for awhile....

    - I haven't really seen any CT stores with a great selection. Hoffman's has a more extensive selection than most knife stores I've seen, but my main gripe is that they don't carry some of the nicer knives including upper end Benchmades and Emersons. I agree with the Knifecenter.com suggestion. I've purchased virtually all of my knives through them.

I just pre-ordered the new ESEE H.E.S.T. folder from them while I'm patiently waiting for my Emerson CQC-10 and Combat Karambit to get a framelock conversion. The H.E.S.T. looks like it is going to be a spectacular knife.

My other suggestion is the Victorinox store in the West Farms mall.

The biggest problem though is that everything they sell is at or close to MSRP.

Cabelas (East Hartford) has a decent selection of folding and fixed knives. Nothing remotely approaching custom, but you'll find the usual suspects there: Gerber, Bench Made, Spyderco, Buck, CRKT and more.
