I have a Bass Pro gift card....what knife do I want?

I have a Bass Pro Gift card and I'm thinking I want a new knife. My problem is i'm not sure what to get. Guess, i'm spoiled when It's hard to spend a gift card...
SO what do I want? and why? LOL
    sorry for the lame post

I am actually leaning toward maybe the SOG Tech Bowie.
I just want a rugged, sharp, good edge holding knife that will be up a little abuse if necesssary.

anyone have reasons not buy this knife? or what other knife would you suggest from basspro....since that is where my gift card is from.

once again, kind of a lame post I guess. sorry

How much is your gift card worth? Or how much are you looking to spend total?

See if they have the Ka Bar D2 Fighter/Utility.

I have one of these and it's a rough and rugged knife.

gift card is for $100...but I don't mind putting more money with that. Price isn't really the issue.

Properly hardened & tempered D-2 Tool Steel is a fantastic material for blades.

For heavy duty use (hunting, camping, survival and self-defense) you will be in good hands with the SOG Tech Bowie knife ($119.00) or the Ka-Bar USMC Utility Knife ($99.00). Nonetheless, I think that the SOG Bowie Knife is better, the design and ergonomics are nicer and I prefer the black Kydex sheath over the brown Leather sheath.

I like the SOG seal pup, a smaller fixed blade knife but is more than adequate for the situations / environments I will be in. IMO The knoves listed above are great just too big.

Here is a link to the KaBar site. https://www.kabar.com/product/produc...arch%20Results

Remember these are MSRP prices. Bass Pro Shop might have them cheaper.

I thought you might like watching this video. The Ka-Bar USMC is one bad and tough knife so you should definitely give it a look at Bass Pro Shop. The SOG Tech Bowie is definitely nice in design and ergonomics, but the Ka-Bar USMC is just a tank of a knife.

Benchmade Griptilian is a great EDC for the price..
--I'M PROUD TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO BEAR ARMS--

Glock27/ KaBar TDI/ MTAC Holster. I have more also, but this combination works well..
