I like the idea of a Ka-Bar TDI on my off side in a reverse grip carry. But I've got extra stuff around my waist and was wondering if others like me found it comfortable to carry the TDI on the waist?

I'm 6', 230(ish) and have a 48 inch chest and I fluctuate between a 36 and 38 inch waist and I am able to carry mine with no problem. When I carry mine it is at 9 o'clock with the handle facing front.

um...little guys, does it work?
I'm on the other end (little), 5'8"/155lbs, 42" chest, 31" waist. On my waist I carry a 92FS (3 o'clock), cell phone and extra mag (10:30ish), TDI (9 o'clock, reverse), OC 2oz(8 o'clock).

Is a 9:00 position concealable? I should have said something like "comfortable and concealable" in my original post. I was envisioning somewhere around 10:00 but wasn't sure if the handle would dig in or get pushed out of the way and poke through a cover garment.
I have a Ka Bar TDI...I don't always take it with me, but when I do, there is no problem bringing it along...I'm short, bald, fat, and old.![]()

The key is for it to be on a flat body surface, rather than a curve. On a curve, 10 ish, the handle will protrude. Nine ish or closer to eleven ish would probably be better.

I carry mine about the 4 o'clock position, in a normal grip. It works fine for me.

I know of a member here who's fairly small in stature and carries one off-side her G19. Mrs. Limatunes speaks highly of her K-BAR.

I carry mine at 1 o' clock every day without fail (I'm a southpaw). 6'1 220.
I wear my TDI at the 9 o'clock postion without any problems. I am wider than I like to admit, (46) belt size. I wear it is my EDC because it is comfortable. The days don't wear it on belt I put into my pocket. This is done with a paracord lanyard that is attached to the clip on the sheath and other end is cliped to the pants belt loops. The reason for the lanyard is so when I draw the knife out to the pocket the sheath will stay and the knife is ready to go.
At the TDI knife class I went to they showed a number of different ways to carry/conceal the TDI. Some of them were ingenious and very easily made comfortable for... bigger.. people.
They are very hard to describe. I'll have to take some pictures and post them later.
I'm 5 months pregnant so I understand "big belly" woes...lol

Thanks! My belly is more along the lines of a pregnant woman in her 4 trimesterThis leaves me somewhat of a depression or at least a flat spot at about 9:45-10:00, (off-hand side). I've found this spot works the best for me. Since I prefer it in the off-hand or cross draw position pocket carry wouldn't work well for me but, I would most definitely be interested in other ideas!
