OK, so I've been looking for a new knife and was browsing the local walmart for a deal on some clearance .233 when I saw the knife case...I just moved to NY and didn't realize that assisted openers were legal here until I did some research...anyway, I took a look at the Kershaw Blur and really liked it. Here are some questions for anyone that has one of these knives.
The blade - I noticed that the Blur and Leek are made of 440A while the Black Cyclone is made of Sandvik 13C26...any opinions on these? I've never been a big fan of 440 but I've heard many good things about Kershaw...inform me, give me a link, something?
The Speed Safe - I'm very impressed with how easily it opens up...but I'm also a bit concerned for the legal aspects of this...is there anyway that these can be opened by "flicking your wrist" and putting no pressure on the blade? I hope not because that would make it a gravity knife under NYS law...not really looking for something like that.
Thanks very much for any/all information you can give me and if you can point me in the right direction!
